ruttinbuc
I'd like to report that little Bridger is doing much better and is under a doctors care. He will have to go through some testing to see what it is that he is suffering from. Steve and Rilda are certainly thankful for all your thoughts and prayers. This trip is down to its last day. Buckee and Kathleen went out with SteveB today and both had some action. Although they did not connect on an antelope they were thrilled with the stalking experience. Here a few more pictures from here In spite of a good soaking on Sunday, that day was probably the most successful as Leo and Jack both scored on good bucks. Randy Oitker Sr. and Jr. on the way back from an unsuccessful stalk. SteveB coming up with a plan for the next stalk on a big buck in the valley below. Check out those hats... Still some good ones to go after...if you could only sneak up on these suckers! Mule deer feeding on a butte is a common sight.
stevebeilgard
thanks for all the prayers. my little grandson was diagnosed with epilepsy (sp). but, they caught it early and are sure he'll get over it in time. good news. poor little guy is only 8 months and has been through a lot. kathleen and buckee did a bit of 50 yard plus shooting today, with no results. we're filming with southern outdoors jimmy sykes now, but nothing killed yet. we'll see what tomarrow brings... WHISKEYSWAMP
Finally made it home last night from Wyoming... I wish we could have stuck around longer as we were having a great time hanging out with the forum members... what a great bunch of people we have on here. A big thanks to Steve and Rilda for their hospitality and letting us stay in their tent welcome us into their home. I'll be praying for your grandson's health... hope he gets well soon. I watched my buck feed for a couple hours at around 500 yards away... He finally bedded down in a ditch not far from where he was feeding. I decided to make a stalk on him and was able to get to within 30 yards but he bounded out of there offering no shot. He just so happened make his way over to my blind... Jason drove the truck down the lane by my blind and let me out. I walked towards the blind keeping it between me and the buck. I watched him through the windows of the blind, as he would move I would move. I was able to make to one side and range him at 48 yards... I practiced a lot of 40-50 yard shots over the last couple months and was confident I could make it. He offered a perfect quartering away shot and I took out his liver and one lung. He ran about 50 yards and piled up right next to where we gutted Jason's buck earlier that day. I rough scored him myself today and came up with 79.5". Jason's buck taken from the blind

ruttinbuc
What a way to end a fantastic hunt...What more can you say when the man of the hour hits a home run in the bottom of the ninth after going 0 for 5! Kathleen hunted her heart out, but came up empty. I never saw anyone with so much grit and determination to get it done. She would have liked to get her antelope, but like everyone else on this hunt we came away with much, much more... Is that a knife!!!! Don't tell me....Please say it isn't so!:D:D

Canuck2
At last I've remembered my password, which escaped my feeble memory all week until this morning. The hunt and all the wonderful trimmings that went along with it has been absolutely superb. I just dropped ruttinbuc off at the airport and am now about to load my stuff in the truck and head for Steve & Rilda's, and then light out for home. I'll get back on here in a couple days. For now, suffice it to say that the interaction with all the attendees has been a tremendous experience. Much more to come later.
