jerdanmagic
You may have seen this buck in my other thread. Im pretty sure it is the same buck that I captured on camera last year, but not 100%. The first two pics are from 2007, followed by this years pics. If it is the same buck, he is not as impressive as he was in 2007. He appears to be a bit heavier horned, but looks to have lost a few inches. The second buck pictured is definately the same one that I have got pics of the last few years. Just thought you might enjoy seeing his growth. He has added a lot of mass, but lost a few points. I wish putting them on the ground was as easy as getting them on film. Thanks for any opinions and comments!!!! The buck we call "The Boy" Think its the same buck?????????????????? The buck we call "Jester" 2007 2008
Jorden
To me it doesnt look like the same buck. I would find it hard to believe that he lost that many points and so much length
wtnhunt
I do not think it is the same deer.
toddyboman
doesn't look like the same buck but it DOES look like some of the same genetics.
hoosierhunter
I would say that is the same genetics but not the same deer...
OUTDOORLIFE3
O man i hope it isn't the same one so that way there you have 2 amazing studs on your prop...good luck getting him or them
huntermq32
Not sure if he is or not. The will definetly loose tine length after they reach their prime and gain more mass but that is to much for me to think it is the same deer. I would be pumped for season for sure. hammerforged
Definitely the same genetics but not the same deer. Do you need any help with harvesting those studs? Wouldn't be any trouble for me to make a stop by on my way to Texas.
jerdanmagic
Thanks guys. Okay, I've made up my mind......NOT the same deer. Now, my next question is this: Where is that first buck then????????????? Maybe I'll catch him on the camera next time I check it.
Guest Bigbuckor2
"doesn't look like the same buck but it DOES look like some of the same genetics". I would agree with toddyboman. Not the same deer, but the same genetics. Nice deer anyway!!
Guest Bigbuckor2
To answer your 2nd question requires a little more info. * How large is the property you hunt? * How much hunting pressure is around you? * Any chance one of your neighbors on neighboring property shot him? * Any chance pressure on him last year made him go nocturnal? My hope is nobody shot him and you see him opening day. Good luck.

One of our neighbors just started doing guided deer and pig hunts, but that doesn't really bother me. I'd like to think that they would be more likely to practice QDM, than someone who should shoot anything with horns. *If our neighbors shot him, I'm almost sure we would of heard about it. *I try to be very picky with how often I hunt particular stands/deer, and wait for the right wind. Never know though. Thanks! That makes at least two of us!!!!!
