CTBowMan
Hey everyone, I'm sorry I'm currently on travel, but I will be back in time for opening day Monday the 15th! Looking forward to a great season, and I hope to be able to contribute to the team...I like the team name, it matches the new camo I got this year that I'm going to try out for the first time. Best of luck, and I'll write more and hopefully post up some pics/points next week! ~ Van

CTBowMan
Very hot, close to 80 degs, humid, and windy here today (gusts to 30mph), so I decided to not take today off from work to hunt, I may try to slip out this evening after work...it is supposed to get down to 47 Tues night, and only get up to 72 Wed, so Wednesday morning I'll be out, Good luck to all! ~Van

Swamphunter
My season opens on the 27th, but due to work, can't get in a stand until the afternoon of the 29th. Hopefully lay a doe down that afternoon..... I lost all my venison last year in a freezer mishap... 142lbs of venison...GONE.

This past spring for turkey season we had someone with the forum ID name of "moon" create one. It looked very good. If Ken doesn't know anyone I'll see if I can find out who moon is and ask her. fly
Painful Decission Well, I have some bad/good news to share. My department chair (boss) just asked if I could teach a nursing clnical rotation at a St. Louis hospital from mid-October till early December. Earlier I mentioned I had a work friendly schedule, well this would spoil that. However, the overload pay would help fix my financial problems. I have a step-daughter needing braces this spring and I had no way of paying for it since my dental insurance doesn't cover (at least not much). There are some other issues the money would help with that I will not go into because my wife would kill me. Let's just say she's not the most conscientious spender. I guess I have to place my families financial needs above my hunting needs, but dang man! What a tough decission.... Well as I'm writing this my secreatary just brought in the contract and I went ahead and signed. Now I have to make early October count! Why can't Illinois open in September!!!! I'm going to practice every night until Oct. 1st so when that 1st opportunity presents I'll make it count. Hey if Randy can do it.... Flyera, Don't give it a second thought, you need to take care of you, and yours first and foremost, this contest is just for fun, yes we all want to do well and contribute, but it's really about getting to know the other people on your team and sharing in their highs and lows as well. Don't worry about us, if you get a chance to go hunting and are able to contribute fine, if not well that's fine too, and no one here (at least I would hope no one here) would think any less of you for it. Believe me as for me and my house the order of precedence goes, God, Family, Job, Hunting. Best of luck, and God Bless, and don't give it a second thought no need to apologize. ~ Van
fly
Thanks to Van & Vermonthunter. The signature looks better than anything I could come up with. I need to learn to do that one day. I've been trying to add it to my signature. After I post this I'll know if I did it right. Oh yea, looks good!
mule659
Love the signature...now what do I need to do to add it lol...like I said earlier I am not too good with computers.
fly
Love the signature...now what do I need to do to add it lol...like I said earlier I am not too good with computers. This is what worked for me: Right click on the signature and click "save picture as". Then save it on your computer somewhere where you can find it. I saved it as a JPEG (image file). Then open your profile and click User CP (user control panel). Under settings and options click edit signature. Scroll down until you see the signature picture area. Go to the upload section: Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer Browse your computer and upload the signature wherever you saved it at. Then click Insert Signature Picture and finally save the signature. >Frank
