Guest okla_bowhunter Posted October 23, 2008 Report Share Posted October 23, 2008 well, it's finally gettin cold here in oklahoma. But unfortunately last thursday i broke my leg. I was leavin my house to go hang out with some friends, and my jeep died when i backed out in the road. So i went to push it back into my driveway, and it started goin to fast towards my mom's car. I was retarded and pushed it from behind instead of opening the door and pushing it, but it was gonna hit my mom's car, so i ran in front of my jeep to try aand stop it, and my leg got smashed between my jeep and my mom's car. It's cleanly broke my femor(if thats how you spell it), and i had a titanium rod put in from my hip to my knee. Luckily my mom is a physical therapist, and they said i could be back for wrestling by january, and i plan on goin and sittin in my double bull this weekend. HUNTINGMAN Posted October 24, 2008 Report Share Posted October 24, 2008 This is the ten pointer I killed 10/22/08.After the dogs followed me up to my hunting spot and hung around for about an hour before leaveing he showed up behind and down wind of me.He was in pre rut because he was checking a scrape line that ran down an oak ridge.The ground was torn up all around were they had been hitting the acorns hard,he was about 10 yards behind me before he presented a shot.After the hit he ran about 50 yads and fell over,hes not the biggest deer I have killed but for the area I hunt he is a good quality bow kill.
