MUDRUNNER
Great buck SG!Congrats! I managed to get a couple of does over the weekend gun season, so add on 5 more points. I did see three big shooter bucks over the weekend, but couldn't close the deal, so i'll still be hunting for big dady.

MUDRUNNER
The only day i bowhunted was Thursday morning and I didn't have any luck. Our second firearm season starts this Thursday, so i'll be gone hunting for four days with the muzzleloader.
LifeNRA
Rainy Day Buck! Boy it rained all day, and when the rain slowed down a bit, the fog rolled in! Right around 11:20 AM I seen two deer, the only deer all morning. They seemed to appear out of nowhere! Funny how they do that, LOL! Anyways, there was a doe leading the way, following her was a ten pointer, but only has 8 score-able points! Bummer! Once I get the rack back, Ill do a better measurement to see if the other points are one inch or better. After I check them other points out, Ill enter him in the other thread. He lived his life as a ten, thats what he is in my book.
pointing_dogs_rule
LifeNRA: Congrats on that nice deer. Secondly, never let the rack or points spoil he hunt. Remember.... "It's the hunt, not the kill". congrats once nore. good luck to all the dog
LifeNRA
Oh believe me there are no spoils in what happened today! I was out in that rain all day! I was nice and dry thanks to my Cabela's Whitetail Extreme. I love being able to get a buck, after all. Thats why I hunt! I can not do any better than this. I only have doe tags from here on out. Which I plan on using my bow for the rest of the year. Now I am really glad I didn't take that six pointer during archery!
pointing_dogs_rule
Cabelas does make some nice clothes that keep you dry and warm. good luck to all the dog

LifeNRA
Ok, one of them two busted points measures just a tad over an inch! So that makes my buck a 9 pointer for the contest, 14 total points. The other one measures 15/16"! Bummer! The inside spread was 17 1/4", the outside measured 18 3/4". willfish03
Its not the biggest buck but its a good a six point. but I'm not sure they will count all the points. This is the only picture i have and the points are not clear. I will be going out this weekend with the bow even though I have a firearm permit. I'm looking forward to hunting a archery park with firearms on the surrounding properties, hopefully the additional hunting pressure will get the deer up and moving. MUDRUNNER
Nothing for me over our second firearm season. This year has been really slow in our area for some reason. If I can get away next weekend I'll give it another try with the muzzleloader.
LifeNRA
Congrats willfish, did you enter your buck in the thread? Also, you will need to have three pics! The one you have here, a tag pic, and a pic of the antlers to show all the points!

MUDRUNNER
No luck for me during muzzleloader season. I seen two does Saturday morning and that was it. I had the pleasure of hunting in 30+ m.p.h. wind AGAIN. We still have over 4 weeks of bow season, so maybe I can still stick a buck.
cinch314
Bad news guys. Looks like Im not going to be able to upgrade because it seems all of our bucks are shedding antlers already. Ill keep trying though.
LifeNRA
Wow, seems a little early for that down there. Keep trying and good luck!
cinch314
I know, it shocked me as well, but I have game pics to prove it and the pics are from 2-3 weeks ago.
MUDRUNNER
I still have about two weeks left to try and upgrade. I got skunked again yesterday, but did see a nice 8 pointer last Sunday, but he was to far for a bow shot.
