Good shooting Rem308!

Gator...can't believe you have to deal with all that crap. That's terrible when guys stoop so low to rip you off...we should be brothers in the field whether we know each other or not!

We "THINK" we may know who it was, the people that USED to hunt here. About 50yds from where my stand is was a ground blind, the day I found my stand gone, we discovered the blind was knocked over as well, VERY suspicious.

Didn't see much this past weekend. Ran a doe off from my feeder at 11, it WAS set to go off at 1030, making me a hog hole, but after seeing all the deer sign there, I have changed the times, and built a ground blind, I'll be there Sat morning

Yes, it's getting better and better. I'm still bow hunting, but have yet to see a good buck in range. Last Saturday's hunt was a downer...right after daylight a hunting buddy had to come get me to help him with his stand, so after tromping through the woods and helping, then tromping back in, I settled in to hunt...only to see 2 dogs running deer through the area. I only saw 2 does all morning.

Oh well, with these cool temperatures, it's bound to fire the bucks up.

Hey all, I am posting this for Bdboy53. I am his hunting buddy and I wanted to let you know, he is suffering from some potentially very serious medical problems right now and without elaborating without his say-so, I will leave it at that for now. He is an excellent hunter, and can find a deer in the artificial flower rack at Walmart. Right now he could use some prayers though from you all that he gets through this. I know he is disappointed as to his hunting season being limited now, but he does expect to get back out there after a couple of weeks once things get better for him.

Keep him and his family in your prayers...

I hunted hard Saturday, passed on some does and a spike...there was a pretty good 6 pointer that wouldn't come within range of me...I would have taken a shot had he presented one.

I hate to hear that about our team member, and I'll definitely send thoughts and prayers.

Congrats on the button buck too, let me know if I can assist you with posting pictures. I sent you a PM.

Bdboy, hope you get to feeling better, hate to hear this bud.

Well, ML season has come and gone, with nothing exciting to report. Deer movement seems to be SLOW to say the least. I did see three does Friday night, but I wasn't in a position to get a shot. Gonna "rest" the next couple of weeks,

I passed up a 10pt with two broken tines and an 8pt with good potential for next year.

We had a lot of warm weather last week which really pushed rut activity to nighttime only. I am heading out this Thursday, but it's calling for rain.

I am also taking some young boys down to KY for the weekend for the Rifle season. It is there first hunt so they are excited. I'm hoping they with both get something...I'm just glad for the opportunity to pass on the hunting tradition too!

well, thanks for the prayers all...I am back at it...although a little slower than usual for now. I did manage to get a doe a few days ago and will post the pics and tag for the entry. It is the only deer I have seen so far this year....sorry guys, I hope to get lucky and upgrade the score. Keep plugging away. Bdboy53. Thanks swampy!
