hey guys.

Saturday was our opening day here for bow in the southern part of NY. Was in the tree stand most of the day, first 4 hours I saw a flock of turkeys. the afternoon hunt I saw 5 deer four fawns and one small doe. One fawn went directly under my stand, right below me.. the adult doe could not have been 100 lbs soaking wet, she took a pee 15 yards from me.. i had to let her walk..too small for the first day...but it was great to be in a stand again..love the the time spent in a stand... did not hunt this morning, but at 8 am i see a 5 point and doe in my back yard.. lot of time left its only just begun.

Well I had a buck come in within 5 yards. The only problem is he came right to the base of the tree and from behind me so I never had a chance. Maybe soon the weather is starting to cool down and maybe rut activity will pick up. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hey guys, I have only been out three times so far, our season is a week old today. No luck so far, today the weather did not help, rain and wind. Looking forward to Sunday morning.

You guys have gotten some nice deer, congrats on them. I am hoping to contribute to our score....soon. Good Hunting.

Button Buck Down! BUT I didn't shoot it! :(

Took the 4-wheeler around our field to look for tracks and see where the better spot would be to set up. Driving along and then right off the path by our nieghbors fence is a dead deer. It had been there over night or so, flipped it over, no holes in it. It either died by getting caught in the fence or got hit on the road, which is a few hundred yards away. Who knows, just odd I guess.

Hey guys. I was able to hunt for 2 hours on friday...saw 3 turkey,,that was it. Saturday morning I sat there for 5 hours saw nothing, not even a tail. This morning was an eventful day, 12 turkey land 20 yards in front of me at 6 30. At 5 to 7 I see a real nice spike 50 or so yards behind me. I watched him for 20 or so minuets, he walked off but right into the path of a 6 pointer. They walked around, felt each other out, did some racking and well the 6 beat him hands down, Long story cut short the six walked 10 yards from me and I got a nice shot at him with my Hoyt bow. He never took another step, he went two feet straight down. I will up load the pictures in a little while. All in all it was good morning.
