They've updated the scores we're at 45 pts, and the leaders are at 61. However Mathews4life they haven't counted your deer(is it in the entry thread), and with Shawns deer it'll give 7 more points. We're closer to the 68 point mark if USAFhunter could get more pics of the 19pt buck.

Good Luck everyone. BTW went out tonight, saw a doe on the edge of the road after I locked everything up in the truck and began to move down the road.

nice job guys!! I shot another doe yesterday, but of course it won't count for us. Fun story though, driving down the road to look at a guys deer that he shot. Had muzzleloader with me. Saw two does out in the field that I lease, so I parked the car and started the stalk. I crept up there about 250 yards and made about a 100 yard shot. Smoked her and she only went 40 yards.

Congrats Shaun 300!!! I will be heading back up to Illinois this coming weekend and I will get more pics of the rack of my buck and get the pics we need to get a couple more points. I will also be gun hunting and doing a little more archery hunting while I am up there. Even though I don't think I will be able to top the on I already got this year but I sure will try. I know there are at least six 140+ bucks still hanging around my stands.

Well guys, I ALMOST had us another 5 points. I just got back an hour or so ago from the U.P. I had a doe come in at around 40 yards yesterday (Sunday) morning. I hit her, and she took off and stopped after going about 80 yards, I could barely see her behind a tree (I was hunting some thick stuff) and I seen her back end wobble and she took a few steps back, then she slowly laid down on her stomach. Then, I made a BIG mistake. I sat there for a minute and decided to get out of the blind and head back to the house for a few hours. She must have heard me, I looked up and she took off.:( After a bit I went and found where she was laying and there was a decent size area covered with blood, but before and after that NOTHING! I shot at around 8:15 that morning, and looked from around 9:30 until noon, then gave up, went inside and grabber some lunch, and headed back out around 2:30-3 looking for any sign of where she went my way in, and then sat in my blind, but got frustrated and went and looked for another couple of hours before dark. I couldn't find a single drop of blood anywhere other than the spot she laid down at.:( Gun season lasts until the end of the month, not sure if I'll be able to get out any time soon, but we have made plans to head up for a weekend for the muzzleloader season.

Congrats to all the other fellas that scored. There's some nice bucks there!!! Somehow I forgot to mention that in my last post. :o:D

Sorry to hear about that Lee! I remember the first deer I ever took with the crossbow hit a little bit back just catching the liver. Sounded like the same story as yours. it went 50 yards or so, stopped, layed down and then after 20 minutes I got out of the stand and off he went. Luckily it was early December and there was 15" of snow on the ground so we could track the little blood it bled. We left it for a few hours and found it 400 yards from my stand! :o
