My question is, what is the going rate for these things? My wife suggested me making a price list and putting it up in my little shop. Any suggestions? Like i would say go to a local archery or big box store and see what they charge and then charge close to the same but a little less if you can. I've got a full setup in my garage........Press, arrow saw, vise............Dang near everything but a chrono and a string jig. So many of my buddies show up and want you to work on their stuff it is rediculous. When I got the saw they were already talking about lining up. After telling them $5 a dozen I haven't seen or heard from any of them. You will find out quick who your true friends are. BTW- I put a sign up in my shop that says "Please contribute $5 whenever I work on your bow".............I'm not looking to make a fortune but whatever I make goes back into getting more equipment in the shop and most guys I don't even charge but it will keep the guys away that are your friend just for you to work on their equipment. Most everyone whose bow I work on throws cash my way, $10, $20, buys my lunch, whatever. I'am got 3 sets of strings and cables I'am putting on for a friend of mine on his three bows. Unfortunatley there are some local guys here that get ticked when you Fletch a dozen arrows for them and you want them to pay for the vanes. Jame that owns the range has the same problem.
