Swamphunter
I need a new pair of binoculars that will allow me to see the US flag on the moon, weigh less than 1 ounce and fit in my wallet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh, and cost less than $100.00 any suggestions? Seriously though, looking for the best bang for the buck without getting very large. A mid sized pair would work for me...
Guest CMitchell
Take a look at Minox. Shop around on the internet. Very nice glass for a moderate price. I've tried large compact binos. I settled on a smaller 8x42 pair. Nice balance of size, weight, view, and clarity. You've heard it before but save up and buy something good...once...instead of buying several times. If you want something a little nicer (and expensive) check out Cabelas bargain cave. They had Leupold gold ring HD binos for half price. ny_gun
Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42 - Best I have seen at what I thought was a reasonable price.

snapper
Another vote for Nikon ATB's...I have the 10X42's and love them. Buddy of mine had a pair of Alpen's (which were nice in their own right) but soon bought a pair of Nikon's after looking through mine. Strut10
I'm using a pair of Burris and liking them a whole lot. Best thing is the price. FREE!! Got them with a burris scope. You can probably get a pair on eBay for cheap.

If I was buying a new pair it would probably be nikon, but not sure what they have in that price range.
