What will your next bow be?

When it comes time for you to get a new bow...what do you think it might?

I know my Hoyt Rintec XL is only 2 years old, though already maxed out in poundage basically, so when it comes time, I'll probably get a bow in the 50-60 pound range and a draw length of more like 25.5"...i think 26" was just slightly long.

I was thinking about it the other day and I think I would either stay with Hoyt...but avoid the cam and a 1/2...or go with a Matthews or maybe even something like a Bowtech....who knows....I won't know till that time comes, lol.

So what about you guys...what's your next bow gonna be?

Like always i will go to my local shop, pick up a few different bows, have the archery pro set up a different models from different companies and then I shoot them. I like a long bow, so I don't even bother shooting bows less than 33 inches axle to axle. Then after shooting them, i slowly narrow them down. For the past 6 years its always come down to Bowtech, but I did like a few Hoyts that I have shot. I currently shoot a Bowtech Commander, when it quits killing deer, i will quit shooting it.

My dad turned my old PSE Fitzgerald into a nice bow fishing rig. Took his first carp with it on the first try, 10lb carp to be exact. Anyways I cannot shoot a bow this fall cause of recent surgery, but will get one next year. Might buy my buddy's Mathews LX, or might go with a brand new Hoyt or Bowtech.

I have looked on the websites of the Bowtech 101st Airborne or the Hoyt's Super Hawk.

But I got some time to decide.

Well I have owned several of Mathews.I Loved my Hoyt cam and half (razor tech).I have heard alot of talk about these two companies.I Bought a new bow in March it is a Pearson Z32.This little single cam bow with a 7 brace height is smooth as silk.It comes with it's own stabilizer, very quite,Angle wing grips, Vapor trail strings, string X's, Barnes dale limbs. The bow weights 3.9 pounds bare.I get 302 fps out of my set up at 70 pounds 29 inch draw.I got this bow brand new not used for $350.00 bucks. The new bows this year come with Binary cams for the speed junkies.Alot of these smaller bow companies have alot to offer for alot less money if your looking to save some money.Try one of these bows might just surprise you.

It'll be a few more years before I purchase a new bow. But when that time comes it'll be another Mathews.

Ditto!!!!

My first Mathew's bow was their Ultra-Light, and I shot that bow for 9 seasons before finally up-grading in the fall of 2005 to their Switchback model. It'll be a few years before doing another up-grade.:)

Im really leaning toward a black ice. However, as long as ive been hunting I have NEVER shot a Mathew's. With the press they are getting I have to pick one up before I purchase a black ice.

Be careful. I did that and sold a 1 year old Bear Element and bought a Mathews S2 (after refusing to even shoot a Mathews since they came out).

Well, just got my first new bow today. Thought I was just going to use my son's Browning since he needs a new bow, but ended up buying a Damond Edge. Its perfect for me sicne this is my first bow. I was torn between a Hoyt Reflex and the Edge and chose the Edge, mainly because it was half the price, but if felt better with my small frame.
