Turkeygirl
Thought I'd share some of my summer with you all...enjoy... This is the camp I worked at, same one as last year, an environmental ed. camp run by the NYS Dept. of Env. Conservation. Yes, working with kids all summer runs you down, it gets tiring, but we have great staff...and sometimes too much fun:D During home staff training, I was fly fishing the camp pond and hooked onto a big fish (the director dared me to wear that hat all week...didn't make it): Here's myself and one of the other counselor's with our fish (if I had known I was going to catch a 20" trout, I wouldn't have let the director draw on my face:o) At 4am one morning, woke up hearing something crinkle. The other 2 girls woke up, I grabbed my light and shined it and well, this is what we saw: Staff and campers from Returnee Week which is when campers from the previous year can come back if they want and we do a whole new schedule of stuff..good luck finding me,lol: Final sunset of the summer at camp: Myself and one of the other counselors on the "Bog Trip" aka we hike during the morning to a bog nearby, in the afternoon and walk out on the bog...which is actually off limits except to us: I was in charge of the volunteers one weekend (campers who are deemed good enough from the previous year, if old enough, to get 2 free weeks of camp in exchange for doing our dishes). Took them on a canoe trip, I being the lifeguard for the kayak: One of our skits during our closing campfire....myself and one of the other counselors: There's a few highlights of my summer. Hope you all had some laughs:D

Turkeygirl
I like that Kayak alot, wish it was mine and not camp's,lol. When I was on that trip, another counselor had his sit-on kayak and I'll say he got wet alot through the small rapids and riffles we went through, ha ha ha.
