Ambuscher
is such a great thing. If it's some kind of telemarketer I just hit talk, and hand it to my four year old that just loves talking on the phone. Only problem is she (my four year old) gets mad because they hang up on her. QDMAworks4me
LOL that is a great idea!! I always like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry has a telemarketer call and he asks them for their home phone number and what time they eat dinner and says that he will call them back at the time they sit down to dinner so he can interupt their dinner every night like the telemarketer interupts his :D ...but I must say the four year old trick is much better haha
toddyboman
my daughter gets the phone and the first thing she says is: "Hello are you a telemarketer?" :D:D
slugshooter
We were doing that with our 2 year old when we were living in North Carolina. I think it was a bill collector that kept calling like 5 times a day. Finally, the phone would ring and we would just hand it to him. It was hilarious!! We would hand Ethan the phone, and he would answer "Heyyyyyy." You could here the person on the other end, "Hello, could I talk to Marc?" Ethan would just start babbling. dougp
Wife and I used to do that but my son is 5 now and he won't fall for it anymore. My normal response now is, "Well yes, I would love to hear more about what you're selling (service offering, begging for a donation for, etc.)" and then just set the phone on the counter and go on about my business. This works so good if you sound REALLY interested in what they are selling, then say your in the middle of something, could you please hold for a minute? My record is keeping someone on the line for over 6 minutes by getting back on and stringing them along!
