toddyboman
Guess a number between 1 and 20 Heck, ya stinker..I don't know...LOL:D i will guess 1 :p:D More than 1 person has been interested in the possibility of extra hats. William and I are just a couple......Auction would/could go over well and would probatly sell for a pretty penny. Or have more made up and sell them or maybe preorder......Regardless let us know. buckee
i still have 2 hats left. scott made 3 dozen, and everyone got one. some even took 2. anyway, let's see what buckee wants to do with the last 2 hats. Here's a great idea. Auction off the hats, and the money goes to help pay for all that gas you burned driving everyone around 800 acres for days on end. I think it was more like 80,000 acres (at least it felt like it too me). That's very generous of you. I think it's a great idea.
wtnhunt
Since it was brought up somewhere, a lot of members here did give "bucks for buckee" and more than once, but for whatever reasons the hunt was just not a possibility for every member for varied reasons. Just a thought, but if it was not too much trouble and more of the bucks for buckee hats were made up on a pre order basis and sold with the proceeds going to Steve it would be a win win situation in my book. Kind of a way for those who either could not afford the hunt and gave what they could or those who had other obligations to have a memento of sorts in sharing with the hunt/stories even though those members were obviously not physically there. BowtechTurkeyHunter
Like I said if you are going to have to make hats anyhow ... make a different one to auction. Everyone made sacrifices that gave money to buckee no doubt about it but only a few were privledged to be able to make the trip for whatever reason ... thats why there were only limited hats made. JMO Steve I disagee Steve, It was all about the "Bucks for Buckee" I think William has a good idea. If people less fortunate gave what they could, why not? Steve No need for an argument at all, just a discussion and ultimately it should be a decision from Scott anyway since he was the one who had the hats made up. Was just throwing out an idea for a way to further help Steve and also let members have an item to keep and share in the memory of these awesome stories we have all read here. Really did not think it would in any way take anything away from those who were fortunate enough to get to go, and even though I do not understand it I apologize if the suggestion really offends anyone. texastrophies
I think doing an auction for the leftovers would be a great thing. Also think getting preorders for a second run on the hats would be cool. Charge enough to cover the cost of the hats plus X amount to be donated. It took many members pulling together to make this work, it could be their small reward/memory of it.
stevebeilgard
looks like we need for scott to jump in here.... as for the ranch we were on a bunch, it's 7 1/4 miles north to south and 8 1/2 miles east to west. so, without my calculator it's about 60 square miles, times 640 acres to the square mile, carry the ought, ... well, it was big enough. we never did get to the same ranchers big place....(another area north of gillette. we hunted the south ranch.) BowtechTurkeyHunter
It was a famtastic antelope ranch lol ... even though that isn't technically what it is lol ... you did awesome Steve and you only got the truck stuck once .... and that was only for a second or two lol. I guess we know now not to go up on that hill and follow the ruts lol. Steve
