toddyboman
Tuesday I went to the doctor to have him look at and possibly remove some warts I have on my hands. Because nothing over the counter works.... I have had a couple small ones for quite some time....well over the past few months they have grown and really multiplied. Some actually started to hurt, which caused me to go to the doc. I was afraid of something crazy happening like them forming into cancer or something crazy. So the doc gave me a big long history and overview of warts and what they are and so on.....then said we can hit them with Liquid Nitrogen and see how that works. He tells me what is going to happen and He can do as many as I want at one time......He would stop whenever I wanted. I'm thinking as he says this.....I drove an hour to get here, took a day off of work, we are going to remove them ALL, and besides it can't hurt that bad. So lets do ALL 13 of them. Well needless to say he got all 13 with the Liquid Nitrogen and now my hands are toast. Blistered, sore, just about useless. The initial pain was a not bad it was the afterwards that was worst than I expected. Not to much pain now but the first few days they were rather sore....and if I bumped them... oh my:eek: Here is some pics of my hands before I bandaged them back up...... Needless to say my golfing and bow shooting is done for a while:(. Oh and MO archery season opens this Monday But I will be more than ready to get out by October:D

Tominator
Had a pesky plantar wart a few years ago. Took 3 years to finally get it out of there. They froze it for 2 years but finally had to remove it using something called "bleomyacin?" Don't think I spelled that right, but those treatments hobbled me for a day or two, then they got better. Once those blisters go down you'll be in good shape I think. Hang in there.

nativetexan
Been there, done that. Had one on my hand right at the cuticle of my fingernail. Hurt like crazy when they froze it. Wishing you a speedy recovery! I have excema on my hands now and the medicine that the doc gave me dries them out to where they crack and peel, no matter how much lotion I use. My hands have band-aids all over them with neosporin. Sucks. Again, hope it heals up quick.

slugshooter
Ouch! I've got a small patch on my left elbow that disappeared for awhile in my twenties. I noticed about a year ago that they came back, so I guess they didn't really go away completely. I wonder why they didn't show up for awhile? toddyboman
I had few done that way several years back, unfortunately they came back .. :( And if memory serves me right it hurt like the dickens for several days ... great sure hope they don't come back. And yep it did hurt like the dickens. hope you heal up quick, looks like it would hurt just to touch something. Yep if I bump them or anything touches them they hurt:eek: I wonder why they didn't show up for awhile? Doctor told me that warts are a virus. And other than genital warts they really don't know have a cure for them because there is so many different types....Hopefully your body will fight off the virus and then they will go away. The removal process is done to help limit the number and size of viruses your body has to fight. He said something like that:rolleyes:

Guest brosc016
I joined this forum just for this.. Go to your local target and buy a box of "Acid Reducer." It's target brand, a blue box. Take one or 2 a day I believe check the box and then use compound-W and duct tape at night, shaving off the dead skin with a razor blade the next day. Repeat. Watch them go buh-bye. Worked for my sister, a buddy, and myself.
