They have a 2 inch cutting Dia, and have 4 expandable blades that pop out on contact! They looked sweet! I failed to get the name of these heads! If anyone knows the name of them please let me know! I might put the muzzyies up for the spring! Thanks!

billkay
Re: New Turkey Broadheads? Grim Reaper has a new head coming out this year with a 2" cut. They also come with a tiny ring that's placed behind the blades that prevent them from extending back beyond 90 degrees giving you a real 2" cut head for turkey. I've used their standard mech and can't say enough good things about it.

Guest MattA311
Re: New Turkey Broadheads? Those have been around for a few years now. They take the head right off of the bird! A little to overpriced for me though, i'll just stick to the regular broadheads and the adder tips or just expandables.

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: New Turkey Broadheads? I bought some last year. They were introduced to the mass market for the spring of 2004. I used them last turkey season. Unfortunately, I missed the turkey that I shot one at due to high winds. The heads fly great, but tend to plane if it is windy, so I would not recommend hunting with them in the wind. I've shot rabbits with them this past fall and I shot a wood chuck last summer with one. All I can say is that these things are DEVISTATING. A typical shot does result in a blade or two being broken off. But you can buy replacement blades for them. One draw back is how do you stuff a 4" blade into a standard quiver? I had to construct a custom foam insert for my quiver that flaired at the cover opening so that it could house the blades. I'm undecided on if I'll use them on turkeys this year or not. Regardless, these heads are the real deal.
