My benelli nova with a kicks gobblin thunder it shoots low and to the left. About 2 feet low and one foot right at 40yards. With a undertaker choke it shoots right on. My pattern is better with the kicks choke so to correct the low, left problem I put a red dot scope on. I was just wondering why it shoots low left? I called kicks and they told my that thats benelli. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks

Re: Benelli nova with kicks gobblin thunder

I would test every choke tube you have and if all of them shoot dead on and only the Kicks Gobblin Thunder shoots low left, I would return it to Kicks and get a new tube.

Your testing does not have to be with magnum ammo. Use some target loads that have lighter recoil. If its the tube, the pattern will be off no matter what ammo you use.

Re: Benelli nova with kicks gobblin thunder

I shot it yesterday with 3 chokes. Before I shot I called kicks again and they told me to turn the choke 90 degrees and see if the patern changes if it does it is the choke. They told me if it didn't change it is the barrel. Well I did that and it shot the same. Then I changed to a undertaker choke and it shot the same. Then shot the full choke that came with the gun. They all shoot the same. But if I take the red dot off it shoots low left. Now I don't know what to do next. I bought the gun off of a friend that bought a SBE. He told me it shot low left but thought it was the kicks choke. I have shot trap with the gun without the red dot with a mod. choke and didn't have a problem. Any ideas???

Thanks
