Guest Heter32
I have been seeing three pretty decent bucks on my trail cam. Season opens the 27th. So my question to all those out there is how long until there three bucks split up? Will they all use the same area not just at the same time? These three bucks are the biggest my stand has seen in a while. Any thoughts would be great.
fly
Depends on where you're at. I'd say in IL most buck groups are broke up by mid-October.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Don't know what area of the country you're in, but around here I'll see bucks still running in groups as late as mid-October.

Tominator
Personally I don't think there's any hard and fast rule when it comes to whitetail behavior. I've seen bachelor groups in what appeared to be the peak of the rut at times. If you have deer in your area around your stand, I'd say hunt that stand. Dawg
In my opinion, the age of the deer plays a role in this as well. I believe an older deer will split off sooner from a bachelor group than a younger one will. I've seen younger bucks together in late November, but all of the older guys are footin it by themselves by then.
