Tecumseh
I'm going to put a new scope on a rifle and looked at a Nikon Buckmasters 6-18 with the side focus and wanted to know if anyone has one and how you like it?
bluelund79
I have3 of them, to include the 4.5x14x40 SF BDC Buckmaster. I really like the scope, and the other 3x9x40's on my other 2 rifles I have had no problems with at all. I would punch the trigger if the price is right...I usually find good deals on those scopes at Natchez and every once in awhile Ebay....especially the model you are looking at. wtnhunt
No experience with the side focus models, but in my opinion they are good scopes for their price range. Almost as sharp and bright as the monarch scopes. Offered to swap the wifes 3-9X40 buckmaster scope with a brand new 3-9X40 monarch scope that I have in my cabinet and she told me not to touch it. too_pointer
I had a side focus Nikon, 4x14-40 I think. I liked it, but the side focus is quite abit different then the bell focus. Here is a parallax article, which explains more on the side focus and adjustments . Take a gander before you buy, if you can ! too_ http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/Parallax.asp
Rem308
I'm a big fan of this scope. I have the 4.5x14x40 on my .308 with the side focus. It is very clear, very sharp, and the price isn't too bad either. Sighting it in was very easy, as the adjustments are spot on. It's definitely one that I would buy again in a heartbeat. whitetailhunter32210
When I bought my .270 ruger the Nikon buckmasters scope came with it and I love it. It is the best scope ive ever had for low light conditions. I have a tasco golden antler on my .243 and the clarity is nothing like the Nikon. In my opinion this is a great choice of scope.
