If you want something easy you could use one of the no-till varieties such as no-plow or throw and grow. You still need to do a little prep work as the seed still needs to make soil contact. rhine16 Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 Need to know where you are located to know what to tell you for sure, but I'd tell you to come in with a weedeater if you have access(push mower would be better if you could get it up there). Clear out your area as well as possible, then go in and rake all the dead grass and leaves back. Then I'd try to plant a bag of the no till seeds and maybe add in some rye. Hope this helps.
