Glad you guys came out for the most part unscathed. That storm got a lot of people in some way or another. That bites about the trees. Can small trees like that be pulled up right and packed or tamped again with soil? I'm thinking drive rods in the ground, and keep it upright with heavy wire off the rods like you would a new tree. I'm going to try to "find" (thanks Gary ) my apple tree. It just got leaned over. Undoubtedly some of the roots broke. I guess I won't know if the save was successful until spring, at which time, with any luck we will have our house on the market, and it won't really matter if I get another crop out of it or not.
