Gutter Guards??????

Anbody ever find any gutter guards that actually work and not trap oak leaves or tassels? I would like to find some of the micromesh type that I can buy and install myself!

I had a guy from gutter helmet come over last year and want to charge me like $4000 to install some of his product. I asked him if he would take my first born instead and sent him down the road! Just so you know I don't have any kids lol.

I refuse to pay outragous prices for cheap plastic and aluminum guards to be installed for me. Another prereq is the need to be clay colored not white or brown.

Any help would be appreciated.:confused::confused:

Thanks Kirk

Man you must have quite a home with a lot of gutters Kirk.:rolleyes::D lol.

Four grand, that is just plain ridiculous. Think we only paid around $400 total for our gutters professionally installed back 11 or 12 years ago. Granted they were simple, just 3 sections in straight runs, but they are larger than the gutters and downspouts sold at home improvement stores and we have never ever had any issues with them clogging up. Really don't know about the gutter guards though, even with the woods up right beside the house we just have not had a need for them. Large leaves go right on down our downspouts and out in the yard with the water when it rains.

Thanks Shane it looks pretty good and may just work. I may order enough to do the back of the house and give it a trial run. And Gary I have so many cuts and angles on the house it eats me up! I have around 2500 Sq ft and porches and screened in porches and ETC ETC Lol.

Thanks guys

Kirk:)

I think you will like gutter shingle, I install over 10 types of protection and to me its the best looking and one of the easiest to install. If you do end up getting it send me a PM and ill make a little video or take some pics of some secrets on installing it in the best way. Like if when you put it on and the shingles raise up, there is a section you can bend and snap off to prevent that. I think right now gutter shingle is about 3 dollars a foot/ 10 dollars a peice.
