Something like man up and shoot a Hoyt??? Yeah but Jason my friend, my miss had nothing to do with my Hoyt ,, it was all me my friend .. :p No excuses, I just flat out missed ... and both were super bucks .. I would even dare venture to say P&Y class .. Steve B. did his job and more, all I needed to do was cash in and I failed .. :(
stevebeilgard
every shot made when i was there was on a P&Y buck or better. and leo, it was surely a B&C at 13 yards.... hey muff, pm me your address. thanks.

We got on two bucks we made the stalks on that I feel were serious Booner candidates. The first one I tried for with the huge cutters that two young bucks barked and spoiled for us. We got within 55yds of that dude. I still think that one could very possibly be the biggest buck I tried for. But yeah the one I punched air on at 13yds was big. I readily admit he was very probably Boone and Crockett as well. If it was buck fever I'd admit it. I'm not immune. It wasn't. I just put the arrow in the wrong place. I screwed up a brilliant stalk, in front of witnesses to boot. Oh well. Such is life. I think the antelope I got will score a lot higher than we thought at first. I'm not disappointed one bit. JJL
I didn't tag a goat .. but I surely didn't fail either ... I guess you just had to be there to truely understand ... ;) I believe I was there.............So was my son............and so was Mr. Beilgard. You missed..................you said. 1. " Did you guys feel that HUGE gust of wind right when I shot" 2. " Was that an EARTHQUAKE? " 3. " Doggone sleeve got in the way". 4. "Steve why did you grab my arm?" 5. " I think I have a Bumblebee in my shorts" 6. " Did you see that hawk swoop down and deflect my arrow? " 7. "All of the bumps in this road combined with Steve's driving must have knocked my pins off." 8. " This air is way too thin for perfect arrow flight." Yep Luke..................I was there and heard them all. just having fun JJL
JJL
OK, what would this one score? Steve B should recognize where this photo was taken.. Don't recognoze the antelope, however, the way I was taught by the master to judge antelope is thus; Ears are 7".......... his cutters are even with his ears and appears to have another 5-5.5 inches about that. 12.5 - 13 inches.................my estimate. I have video of that btw from 600 yrds away ... it has very windy audio though I might post it still its pretty cool to see where you started and when you missed to see the goat get up and run off that stalk was awesome and was one I know I will never forget.
