VtBowhunter
I've been searching for a bow that feels like it was made for me. I found one last year......Champion Diablo......but Champion went under and I couldn't get work done on it, so I went to a Whisper Creek, but now I'm finding that their service dept. is near the bottom of the line. With taxes due to be in in about a week it's time to start looking again. I'm looking at the Bowtech Liberty, the Mathews Outback and Switchback, and possibly the AR34. I'm looking for input from those of you that own or have shot these bows. I wanna hear the good and the bad. Thanks in advance.

mitrrophybowhunter
Re: Bow Search Continues Switchback all the way. Got mine yesterday and shoot it for an hour at the pro shop. All I can say is it the best bow I have ever shot! quiet, fast, and feels great.

NYBUCK
Re: Bow Search Continues I have the Outback and love it, smoothest thing I have ever shot. I was at the bowshop the other day and all though I didn't shoot the switchback I held it in my hands. It is a little lighter and they tell me it pulls over smoother, I don't know how anything could be smoother. Definately shoot the two and give them a chance. Tominator
Re: Bow Search Continues Hey Josh, You know I'm a Mathews fan, so I'd definitely shoot the Mathews and see what you think. My buddy shoots the AR, and I've shot it too. It's a nice bow, and the grip is smaller than the Mathews. The AR is faster than my Legacy, but it's a bit louder too. My buddy's AR was pretty twangy even with string leeches. I don't know what the AR costs, but I'm betting it's cheaper than the Mathews. As always, shoot them all and see what fits. Chrud
Re: Bow Search Continues Chris, AR's usually run around $600. I shot a 31 a while back and thought for a parallel limb bow, the hand shock was pretty severe.
VermontHunter
Re: Bow Search Continues Seriously, checkout the new line of Alpines, man those things are sweet..my Fatal Impact draws so smooth it's unbelievable, and it weighs practicaly nothing....and their service is second to non.. Switchback29A1
Re: Bow Search Continues HOYT XTEC.....any hoyt with a cam and 1/2 system would be a great choice. But I can admit that shooting the outback and switchback would be a good idea.

VtBowhunter
Re: Bow Search Continues Yes, Snapper, I'm getting a return.......having 4 kids will do that for ya. I refuse to buy a bow from any of the big stores......they don't really care if you buy or what you buy.......I deal with the little guys, they care because their survival depends on it. In fact, I've only dealt with one guy over the past few years and he's done nothing but right by me. Well, while I was out searching for new bows, he took on a new line of them and I found out this past wednesday when i stopped in to shoot the breeze with him.......I shot the bow and mine will be in this week, lol. Most guys know I shot Champion bows for a long while but they went out of business and I was crushed. Their bows felt like they were built for me. Well folks, I found this new line of bows to be everything that Champion was and even a tad bit more. This year I'll be shooting a Renegade TR-4. Talk about smooth with a rock solid back wall. No noise at all on the shot, and so well balanced that you don't even feel like you have to force your arm to stay up on the followthrough. I am in love again. Best psrt of the deal is that I'm still giving my business to a good friend and probably the best bow man in the state.......this fool can figure out any little problem and have it fixed right the first time in nearly no time flat. Life is good. To any other Renegade shooters........Y'all have been holding out on me, lol.
VermontHunter
Re: Bow Search Continues Glad to hear that you found something to fit your needs, and still keep your business local and with a friend taboot... But still think that you should have gone with the Alpine Danalie..
VtBowhunter
Re: Bow Search Continues I know a guy that bought an Alpine last year and he had the wirdest thing happen with it. We were all at a tournament and his cable kept slipping of the cam. He was able to push it back on after it would came off. It was a freak thing. He had the problem fixed and it hasn't happened again. As for me, I had a BAD experience with a split-limb bow so they are a NO-NO for me, but I'm sure Alpine makes a great bow, I just wouldn't be comfortable shooting a splitlimb.
