Lime after you plow but before you disc. ..... if before, how long before you plant the seeds? If you're using pulverized or burnt lime you can do it right before you plant. MUDRUNNER Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 I usually try to work the ground up a few months before I plan on planting and add lime then.I also use both pelletized and crushed lime since they take different amounts of time to take effect.
