too_pointer
Hello. People have posted in here on having some work done on their Encore muzzleloaders. I can't find the web sites where they had their work done, or what they had done. I'm getting a new stock and recoil pad, and want to have some other work done if I can get the info. Thanks too_pointer

tedicast
Re: Encore, action and trigger work ? On the Bellm site there is a room for David White. He is an excellent gunsmith. He removed the QLA on my Encore, and modified my Leupold QR base to a six screw, and drilled and tapped the barrel. His work is excellent, and his prices very reasonable. His turnaround time, with shipping was 6 days. I sent the barrel on a Monday, and got it back Saturday. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend him. I'm hoping to have Mike Bellm do my Encore trigger this spring too.

DannoBoone1
Re: Encore, action and trigger work ? It is possible to do the trigger work yourself, even if you have never done such a thing before -- IF you are good at following directions. Bellm's downloadable directions on his site are fantastic. By honing matching surfaces up to, but not including, the sear, perfect trigger crispness can be achieved. The spring will define the trigger pull. Don't recall the # spring I ordered (think #5) but it took it to 1 1/2#. Granted, that's a little light for many, but I love it right where it is.
