sherwood8701
What does everyone use in your groundblind setups to sit on? Most regular chairs sit up to high for me and the smaller dove chairs are not very comfy imo. Any modified or homemade seats work good?? GWSmith
If it's in position for some time= A large all-weather(gray plastic) boat seat on a swivel, bolted to a square of 3/4 marine plywood just slightly larger than a 5gal bucket, which is bolted to the bottom of a 5gal bucket. If it's a temporary situation= Tubular folding chair The sit is much more comfortable for a longer period of time in any situation if you have a decent backrest;)
Dakota
We've been selling a few here at Sportsman's. In one setup (Ameristep I want to say) it comes with a long bench seat that fits in the ground blind. Very popular with hunters taking their kids or spouses out hunting. They're pretty darn comfortable too! :D:D Dakota
dbHunterNY
Those are all good ideas. I'll tell you the best homemade seats are made by ice fishermen. Another alternative is to sleep and just have a buddy wake you up when a big one comes along. lol - Dan
98chevy
I use aspray painted plastic lawn chair. I drill holes to make it lighter and i can carry it in the woods
Leo
I like those little folding "beach" chairs without armrests for bowhunting for blinds (about $10). They sit lower and no armrests to interfere with drawing. For gun hunting from a blind the chairs with armrests are better.
Chrud
For bowhunting I like a 5 gallon bucket. There are plastic spinner tops for buckets that work perfectly. For gun hunting I like the fold-up camping chairs with the arm rests.
Jorden
I use a 5gal bucket with a cushion on it...not real comfortable but I dont do a lot of ground hunting unless its gun season

Not this brand but something similar. I have a spinner top bucket in my tree stand.
mule659
Either folding camp chair or plastic yard chair
GWSmith
...or plastic yard chair I used to use one in a brush blind...had some deer come in from behind me and had to turn to the right to get a shot so I stood up a little bit. Well with camo cargo pants on, and the pockets full of gear,...LOL...the chair was stuck to my butt! Made the shot and watched the deer fall over then stood there laughing with that chair solidly attached to my rear end! Started walking towards my deer, keeping my eyes on it, and shaking my backside for about 10 feet before the chair fell off:o:D
ildrhntr
I use fold up chairs I bought at Cabelas they are just the right height and are comfortable
Doc
I have a folding aluminum camp stool with a canvas seat. It's small and light and fits well in my backpack. Because I hunt a long way from the house, and up on top of a killer hill, portability is a must. Doc
LifeNRA
I use the Ameristep archers chair. It has the tube metal that stretches across the ground. Not like the legs that dig into the ground and fall over.
Guest titleist_03
I use the three legged double bull chair. It's compact and lightweight, but my hind end can only handle it for 3 hours or less.

Rhino
Sorry I was too tired to get a picture, here is what it looks like. Very good for sitting long times in. For me anyways. I got one of these for one of my blinds this year too. Right now it's hanging up on a tree hook in my blind. The best thing I like about this chair (besides the comfort) is it's quiet. I also use those fold up type chairs that slip into a carry bag with the shoulder sling.
johnf
I use the same type chair as ranger clay in a ground blind. I had a box blind that I used two leather high-back office chairs that the school was throwing out. That was nice.
