glad to hear that waterfowl is that good ,how about ducks and what kind,i have a small pond about 1 to 1 1/2 acreas hear in fla they feed on hydrilya how about up there????

There are several wildlife reserves in the tri-state area there. Mostly have mallards, then wood, but we do get some other species like pintails. As for feeding, with all the farm land they have a variety of grains to eat, but with most places anything flooded works great.

congrats, rookieee. i've hunted geese in padukah. so don't forget the excellent waterfouling available in addition to the deer & turkeys.... you hit paydirt!
steve how would you compare the geese in that area to the flt in canada i hunted geese and mallard up in st walburg canada in sept for the past 10 to 15 yrs and i love it up there but if is half as good in the padukah there no need to go up for geese and ducks only

I have friends that go to canada every year (haven't saved the money to go myself yet), but the geese and duck I hunt in Paducah is not half as good as Canada. You can get into some really good duck hunts in Paducah, but a decent goose hunt would most likely have to take place at a hunting club there.

the price for a 5 day hunt including lodging and food is not to bad were we go. if you like info on the price and who the outfitter is pm me and i will be glad to let you know ,the flt from fl to canada is expensive
