craig mack
Because Michigan hasnt had a professional football team in my lifetime, I think its time I started rooting for someone else. Can anyone give me suggestions. I have always rooted for the home team so I have no experience doing this type of thing. Bowtech how did you do it? muggs
I'd recommend NOT going with the Cleveland Browns. I have no choice, but you do.:D The Cowboys seem to be the chic pick these days.
MCH
Not sure if this would help you out, but I chose the Bills back in the 80's mainly because of Thurman Thomas. I'm a huge Oklahoma State Cowboy fan(alumni) and Thurman was my favorite at the time. So I started rooting for them and it stuck.
JJL
I'm a Bears fan at heart, growing up in N. Illinois it was the only game in town. Since moving to Colorado I've FIRED THEM ALL, no more cheering for anyone. I'm completely sports neutral. It's kind of like being in the Switzerland of sports fandom. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I'm with ya Craig. Tired of the lions and their losing ways. I am now a free agent in the NFL fan market. I don't want to jump on bored with the best team, or the most popular, just beciase they are winning. I want a solid team, on that can give you a winning season every year, and on that will be competetive in the majority of the games, even if they don't win them. I am leaning towards the CHargers, but am open to any offers you may have.....oh, and I am not going to cheer for any team that is in the NFC north
buckbuster11
Come on over to the black and gold boys!! Plenty of room on the bandwagon. I mean hey, they've got one of the best teams in the league, they can sleep walk to the division crown, and with the Colts and Pats down who knows how far they can go? Tominator
Root for the Clowns, errr, Browns. That way you'll never be disappointed with them losing the Super Bowl. **cue Johhny!
buckbuster11
What about the disappointment of coming out and laying the largest, smelliest egg ever after 6 months of incredible hype?

muggs
What about the disappointment of coming out and laying the largest, smelliest egg ever after 6 months of incredible hype? Simmer down Johnboy, they haven't beat anybody yet and when they finally played a quality team that oline gave up 9 sacks and they couldn't move the ball. I'd be worried. They might be able to win the North by default, but that's about it. I wouldn't sleep on the Ravens though. The AFC is a mess right now though. Sort of funny how one torn ACL can change so much. Tominator
What about the disappointment of coming out and laying the largest, smelliest egg ever after 6 months of incredible hype? I don't know, ask Eric, although I see he smelled his own egg.
muggs
I don't know, ask Eric, although I see he smelled his own egg. And that egg smells like Romeo Crennel. Injuries are a major factor, make no mistake. They're missing 2 Pro Bowlers, 4 defensive starters, and their 2nd and 3rd receivers haven't seen the field all year. Depth was a concern I had going in, and injuries like this are showing they don't have much. Right now teams are just netrualizing Winslow and Edwards and the results are 2 TDs in three games. Still though, injuries are no excuse for flat play, stupid penalites, poor clock management, and stupid post game press conferences from the head guy. He's as good as gone. Guest Andrea
The Jags are a good team. They aren't perfect but they aren't anywhere near as bad as another team I refuse to mention.....:D

VABuckSlayer
Dallas Cowboys! I was a fan of #12 back when I was a kid. I've been a Cowboy's fan since I played Pee-Wee football as a kid back in the late 70's. I jumped on the Cowboy bandwagon 30 years ago!!! :D:D
NY_Bowhunter14
last i checked... da Bills were winning! :-P lemme' just tell you why you should pick the Bills... They are in a very tough AFC East... although, this year is different, they usually have to fight for every win in their division... they are a young, up and coming team... they have great playoff potential... although they may not be Super Bowl contenders yet, they are and extremely efficient team... they will be Super Bowl contenders very, very soom... they have a young QB in Trent Edwards, who is looking like he could be an elite QB... they have a great RB in Marshawn Lynch... "Beast Mode" as they call him, is a very down to earth person and just loves the game of football... The winter games are always exciting, nothing like playing in 20 degree blizzards... Overall, a great team, with even greater, and VERY loyal fans! (oh and they are currently 3-0, with back-to-back 4th quarter comebacks)
Guest BusterBoy
I'm from N.C. and I've pulled for the Vikings since 1969 and now we've got the Panthers . Still pull for the Vikes over the home team .

backwoods07
Well, if you're a fan of teams w/o a quarterback and with terrible offensive strategies, the Bears are your team!! 4th and 14 1:27 to go in the 4th ball on their own 40 yd line down by 6 and the play....HANDOFF for a loss of 3. Tecumseh
If you don't mind a team who's coach has no control over the inmates and a owner who only cares about every seat in the stadium filled and people stuffing their faces with hot dogs and beer go with the Bengals. Can anyone give me suggestions. I have always rooted for the home team so I have no experience doing this type of thing. Bowtech how did you do it? ROFL I have 2 things going for me ... I live in Iowa and we have no professional teams to go for ... so for as long as I can remember I have always been a Cowboys fan and I have always been a Redwings fan ... and for the record I have always been a Cubs fan ... If Iowa had a professional team I would not switch just cause they were from Iowa. And BTW I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not lol .... but if you were I dont know where you get the idea that I switch teams for the winning team?
