sskybnd
went to the lease this weekend and they were finished cutting, looks like a war zone but dont think its going to be as bad as i thought, they did cut all the pines and most of the hard wood, but there is so many little trees still left and i think theres still pleny of cover for the deer, to move through, found new dropping all over and still have some cover around the stand can only see around 125 yards, becouse of all the trees they left, cant wait till next wendsday,

Texan_Til_I_Die
Did they put in some logging roads? Might think about broadcasting and dragging in some wheat or oats along the sides.
sskybnd
dont have to worry about logging roads, there's anywhere from 2 to 5 acre opening's all over, i bet if i wanted to cut the trash trees that are laying on the ground around my treestand, i could easily make a 5 acre foodplot, bought enough no plow to do an acre, and will wait this season out and do a lot of cleaning up after season.
