VermontHunter
luke, I think the refs may be on your side tonight , that wasn't much of an elbow for a penalty  What a rocket by Kovalev Yeah Right ... What a sore losing team ... NS whitetail
Bag this one up Lewis ... Boston 4 Habs 2 See ya Satuday night buddy ... yup It was a good game, I sure wish Gorges wouldn't have taken that stupid crosschecking penalty , the outcome may have been different
VermontHunter
It definately was a good good game Lewis ,,, but it would be an even better one if Montreal would put away it's goon squad, they should know by now that Boston has enough personel on each line to compete in that department as well .. This is going to be a great series as always when Boston and Montreal meet ...
Strut10
Pens whoop the Flyers 3-2 during a 5-on-3 in a heartstopping O.T. Again................Philly and their dumb penalties.
VermontHunter
GAME TIME Lewis ... Round #2 ... GO BRUINS !! ...
VermontHunter
Well the Bruins clean up at home with a 5-1 win over the Habs, and take a 2-0 series lead to Montreal with them ...
Strut10
Pretty rough night for Montreal.
VermontHunter
Pretty rough night for Montreal. Yep, I would say so Don .. Poor Price was left to the wolfs by his teammates ,, seems there's more than a few Montreal players that are more interested in headhunting than playing hockey ... Lucic did a bonehead thing himself late in the game with the high cross check to a players head .. but in his defense he, himself was just sticked in the face just before that incident .. Going to Montreal is going to be tough, but if the B's keep playing the disciplined game they should be OK ..
NS whitetail
Poor Price was left to the wolfs by his teammates It wouldn't matter............... Price couldn't stop a rolling basketball coming at him  He may have been good playing in the World Juniors.......... but the NHL is a different game Looked like abit of goonie work from both teams

Price is that teams best hope he just needs to have a better defense in front of him and some better back support from the forwards ... One thing I've noticed about the habs is that their forwards aren't that willing to skate back hard enough for a effective back check and defensive support role .. Watch how the Bruins roll out a layered defense each shift ... and then attack in layers as well .. Don't know about both sides have the goonies Lewis but Milan sure did lose his composer last night .. I just hope nothing more comes from it ... Strut10
,, seems there's more than a few Montreal players that are more interested in headhunting than playing hockey ... That in itself will get you into deep do-do. If a guy goes out on a shift looking to hut someone, he's eventually going to go out of his way (out of his zone) to do it. That leave open ice for the other team to fill and capitalize on. Just ask Philly from game 1 against the Pens (that was one of their downfalls anyways). Stay on your game and cover your zone and the hits will come naturally. You don't have to go looking for them. Orpik and Kunitz are hitting everything that moves....in their ice. punkinslinger
Orpik is a beast when it comes to clean crushing hits!!!
Strut10
Orpik is a beast when it comes to clean crushing hits!!! Yep. Beast............yep. Actually met him a little over a year ago with 4 other Pens. Heck of a nice guy and not as big as I thought he'd be. Still would rather walk around him on the street than drop the gloves & go. :D:D
Strut10
Pens sucked big-time against Philly today. The better team definitely won.
punkinslinger
You mean the THUGS won. Saw at least 6-8 no calls??
Strut10
You mean the THUGS won. Saw at least 6-8 no calls?? Agreed. But I also saw some pretty weak calls go against Philly. The Pens were just horribly flat. The D left waaaay to many openings in front of the net.
Tominator
Pens sucked big-time against Philly today. The better team definitely won. Yeah, but Timonen got taken off his feet, eh?

Heavy Metal
Once again....looks like the Sharks are poised for an early exit and more under achieving. I swear they are are starting to become more and more like Ottawa a few years back. What a pathetic disappointment.
