JimT
Man, am I ugly. Came home in a good mood until the wife tells me my wood duck mount "fell" off the wall. I look at it and the tail feathers are all broke off. That appears to be the only damage. Should I bring it back to my taxidermist or try to fix it myself? I fiddled with it for a few but am just not that comfortable doing it. What a bummer. There is -no- way it could have fell on its own. RTF
Re: Broken Duck Mount I'd bring it back to your taxidermist. he should not charge you if this is a simple repair. I would never charge my customers for something like this if i wanted them back again.
JimT
Re: Broken Duck Mount The tail feathers are held togather by a sawdust like cork material. I am going to call my taxidermist tomorrow. Hopfully he can fix it quickly for me. If he wants to charge me a little I do not mind. He did not break it, my wife did. {allegedly}.
