huntdux
I went to check my camera last night and someone had beat me to it. It is on private, gated property too. I wish people would stop and think about how upset they would be if someone took their stuff. Not only a camera with some good pictures of deer on it, but I used the SD card in my digital camera to take some pictures of my kids and had not got them off there. I hope as hunters we would have each others back, but some people are just trash and they can't help themselves.
wtnhunt
Sorry to hear that, that really stinks. The low lifes that do this type of thing are the same ones that will poach and are not hunters at all from my perspective.

Guest Mark_85
that stuff just makes me mad. I hope you find out who it is and get your camera back. What probably happened was they tresspassed to hunt or whatever and walked in front of your camera and didn't want to get busted so they took it. To save their own butts. Any adjoining woods to this woodlot ? I would keep an eye out.
RackBlaster
That really stinks:mad:. It has never happened to me yet, (knock on wood), but i have thought about putting another camera up high in an opposite tree in case it does. I figured i would take my climber to get up and down. Now the more i hear of this happening i think i will do just that .
backwoods07
Sorry to hear it, bud. Same kinda thing happened to us on our farm, except with treestands. How can one hunter steal from another? Aren't we supposed to be on the same team here? We captured a few pictures of trespassers hunting our property before. Luckily they didn't see the camera and we were able to recover the pictures.
Flintlock1776
Too bad. Maybe get 2 next time, Hide an IR model high up looking down on #1 and maybe the jerk will be back and you could get them on film for the cops!
rad_112176
That is such bad news. I have lost a few stands over the past years and it makes me sick every time i hear this stuff. I think this is one of my main reasons for not getting a camera. Not hard to replace a cheap lock on but would hate to replace cameras. Sorry to hear it. kingfisherfd2
last year they took a camera from me and a stand. The stand they took down and removed the bottom 4 steps. left the other steps, my drop cord, my ezhanger. Year before in a different place they took my stand and my steps. no respect for other peoples property
EKYhunter
To bad it's not rigged to explode unless you have a code or something! I'm sorry for your loss and hope that whoever did it is paid back ten fold.
Eddie234
sorry, everytime I put mine up I wonder if it will be there when I go back. I use a self climbing stand just because I don't won't it stolen. As a police officer I've seen all kinda things stolen and for no good reasons. It's a shame. MichiganHunter
I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of you camera. I had my very first one stolen (got it as a gift) then got another one as a gift and i bought one of them steel boxes and pad lock it shut then use HEAVY log chain to tie it to LARGE trees and then put a master lock on that. And no REAL hunter would take someone else's property....the people who take from other are NO hunter in my eyes they are human garbage, hopefully they tripped and fell and broke there leg. I would check some of the local pawn shops to see if it turns up there, and bring your camera to see if the memory card is in it so you can provide proof that it was your. I also engraved the inside of the cover, the back of the unit and the inside of the battery box on mine.
HOYTnMUZZYboy
Similar thing happend to me this year. They bashed the cover to break the lock because I had the camera locked to the tree. But they broke the door and stole my memory card. My cameras take so many pics b4 switching over to the card tho, so I caught them red handed. He also put a stand 15 yards from my stand... so to say the least this guy isn't that bright. I printed the pics off and now the cops and DNR both have pics of the guy. Sorry to hear about your camera man! I hope you catch the guy who did it. At least they will have to work alot harder.
