AJ
While I have not taken a deer with the managed recoil ammo, I have taken quite a few with the partitions. They do mushroom rather well even on behind the shoulder shots. Thats how they are designed. The front is a typical bullet and it will mushroom very well. The rear of the bullet, behind the partition stays intact to drive deep.

hutchies
Re: Remington Managed Recoil Shot 2 deer this year with winchester ballistic silvertips 180 grn. Dropped the buck in his tracks and the doe made it 50 yards. Both were heart/lung shots. Bad part is that entry and exit hole were both about the size of a silver dollar which will not bother you if you are a good shot and shooting broadside. strubedog
Re: Remington Managed Recoil The deer I shoot with my 280 150 grain nosler partition bullets typically drop in their tracks or maybe 20 yards.
JimT
Re: Remington Managed Recoil I have never shot the managed recoil loads either. Might pick up some to try in my .270 this summer.
wtnhunt
Re: Remington Managed Recoil Have never tried them either. Corelokts in the .270 work quite well for me.
