texastrophies
and i got the RMEF 700 rem.!!After all the ballistics say it's a little faster!!I have a 375 h&h,45-70,450,300wsm,338,and a 416 and haven't even got an invite to the optg!! I don't think invites are handed out, although in your case it might be an exception, but normally you have to request approval to join such an elite club. :D:D

Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
I have one each of the WSM calibers. I have at least one each of the Ultra mags and I have many standard calibers as well. They all have taken something but I like the big heavy weights. Oh and I just bought a 50-110 for my Pro Hunter. Do I qualify to join the club?
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
Trying to clear up a bit of confusion in several posts. The first comparison was a mag to a mag and then a couple of mags to a couple of std calibers. Of course the short mag will outperform a std caliber and about equal a long mag caliber. I believe that the industry is trying to take a page from the bench rest shooters that absolutely dominate that game with the short fat PPC cartridge. The 300 WSM is listed with a case length of 2.100 while the 300 Win Mag is listed as 2.620 that is close to half an inch. Theoretically a shorter action is a stiffer action and a stiffer action should equal better accuracy. It surprises me a little that this is not the case as stated. csualumni21000
Gun magazine fodder if a 223 will not work a 30-06 or 308 will and if you need bigger go to Barrett for a 338 or a 50. It is the fiddler not the fiddle, but few ever get training for the guns they own.
