Guest Finn
Thinking seriously about getting a Rhino this fall. Does anyone have good or bad reviews of one? Looking at a 450. Don't need the bigger one as we have tractors etc, to do the hard work... Thanks for any information. Craig
preacherman
Craig...... Have a friend of mine who is a logger by trade and he has a Kodiak and a Rhino. It is actually a 600; but he loves his. I have ridden with him several times and driven it several times and it is a great bike. You won't go wrong with it. Let us see pics when you get it! okiedog
Craig.. UTV's are alot like bows, everyone has their prefrence. Make you a list of what you are wanting to use it for ( work, hunting, etc) Then see which one best suits your needs. What I was wanting was one to mainly hunt out of, but that could handle hauling/working around the house. I also needed more than 2 seats, so my wife and son could ride. Before I bought my first one, I test drove everything out there including the Rhino 660 ( the 450 wasn't out yet). While the Rhino was a blast to drive I thought of it geared more towards a trail bike. It has great factory speed, but I don't need the speed, and it was way to loud for what I wanted. I first settled on a Mule 610, and it did a great job for a few years, but I soon out grew it and needed something a little bigger:D. OUTSIDER
We have the 450 model...the only difference (except price) between it and the 700 model is top end speed. I use it alot for hauling firewood logs back to the house so i can split them near the wood pile. in the trailer, i have put 6, 8 foot oak logs that were from 8 - 14 inches in diameter, and the rhino had no problem with it what so ever haulin over uneven terrain here in WV..i have driven the 700...its faster and has much more get up and go. but is thousands more also. Guest Finn
Thanks Outsider.....how long have you owned it? Do you recommend any specific accessories?
OUTSIDER
i think about a year, we got a jump seat for the bed of it, from cabelas...i am not too sure about it, it removes easily, my Girlfriend's mom wanted it for the younguns, but i am not sold on it, seems dangerous too me (the jump seat that is.) We have a windshield and top on it, i love the windshield, but be careful with it, when you wipe it down make sure its CLEAN, they scratch very very very easily...brush wont scratch the window but a dusty cloth will...makes no sense to me. I would like a winch...now, i have never gotten it stuck in mud and we have had it in some nasty places and it still has stock tires. So i figure our next thing will be a winch, and some new bighorn tires, they make a pair specifically for side by sides. But all in all, i love the thing, its very nice, drives well, easy to work on, plenty of power, but as i said before it does not go much over 35 mph...but trust me thats gettin it on a dirt road with one of those. Ours has low range, switch in 4WD, and locking 4WD. anything else??
jcwa
I love my Rhino 660. I use it for everything. In the pic it's setup for night hunting coyotes. I use it more than my 4-wheeler now. The only complant I have about it is the noise from the intake. The 450 may not be as loud.

98chevy
I have a rhino 450 and I do everything with it. Ive hauled sod dirt and gravel. I have a disconnect seat for the bed and haul 4 guys and my dog and decoys. Its alot but handles it. I drug about 30 acreas of fields saturday because are disk broke. It took all day but it handled are 5X10' drag perectly. I also broke my spine a while back so rough rides and me dont get along and the ride is awsome on the rhino I could drag the fields going about 20 and had very little jaring.. on acceriouse I have a 4k winch, folding windshield, roof, glove box, 4 gun holders one with built in storage, and rear seat. My next one will be the ranger crew cab or the mule crew cab Only bad thing is Every once in awhile I get the fuel filter stoped up so i keep a extra one with me. I think its the gas but dont know. The filters cost 3 dollors and ive used 3 since 07. I also ride in some nasty swamps so my break squeak all the time. Its still worth it. Last thing the reason I didnt get the ranger or mule was the width was to wide for my duck rodes.the rhino is easier then you think to get through woods
