BearClaw Posted September 27, 2008 Report Share Posted September 27, 2008 Anyone use the scent dispenser by Moultrie? I have the one by Wildlife Research as well. The reviews on that are positive but I can't find any reviews on the Moultrie. If you are familiar with it, it does have a motor that makes a little noise when it dispenses the scent for 15-15 seconds. WIll that alert the deer? I'm a little hesitatnt to use it but I know it works mechanically, I'm just not sure of the noise factor. Stick with the 'quiet one'? Has anyone used the Wildlife Research one? Time will tell. I got one can of each scent. At 30 minute spray intervals daytime only all three cans should get me thru the season. You would almost have to be standing next to it plus it is a short squirt but enough to send the scent out. They have been rubbing the trees around that set up since I ut it out. No rubs elsewhere on my property that I have found. I hope it works. I'll keep the stand silent until the rut and then out the rut scent in and have at it. wtnhunt Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 Seen these in catalogs, they look very similar to the air freshner dispensers we had in the nursing homes when I was working as a nursing home maintenance supervisor. Those things ran off of two double A's and made just a little noise when they dispensed the spray, guessing the cans are probably also the same size.
