Swamphunter
http://www.donnan.com/images/buck_Austin.jpg ok this buck here was scored at 279, and was takin in Nebraska, is there really a 120" difference between this buck and my trashman buck? I would say "yes". I think although that buck is a dandy for sure, and bigger than anything I have EVER seen or shot, he is a far cry from 279. I was guessing 175-180. Tough with only 1 pic though. I think he may suffer some ground shrinkage once you get him down though.
rhine16
I honestly do not believe that buck has more than 150'' of bone on him. He is an awesome buck though! Good luck with him And the buck you posted has so much bone on his head that it is ridiculous. He has tines coming from everywhere. Mass can only get you so far, as there are only 8 mass measurements(4 on each side).
pointing_dogs_rule
I would have to agree on this one. A friend shot one similar here in Iowa that grossed in the MIDDLE 150's. Very nice deer and I would not hesitate to shot that one. good luck to all the dog
turningcustomcalls
I would agree with these guys. I'd say 150's top. I got an idea- Go shoot him and let's find out for sure:D. Good luck.
buckbuster11
Tough to tell from the pic, real tough. I agree with most of the responses though. That buck isn't anywhere near 270". I'd say he's around 150-160". One heck of a buck though.
wtnhunt
Tough to say from that pic, but yeah bigger than anything I have killed. Think Martin is probably pretty close, at 160 gross.
razortec_hunter
haha i know it's nowhere NEAR 270, haha i was thinkin somewhere around 170-180?
Leo
Looks like he's toting a piece of another deers rack on his left antler. They don't always die when they get locked up. Sometimes the bigger deer can break of part of their opponents rack. Looks like that to me.
Flintlock1776
getting lots of shots of him or just this one? Hopefully you have some of him on camera during shooting hours. Otherwsie its up to luck at the rut I reckon. Good luck getting him!

Born4it
Gotta go with around 160 gross. Let's see him in your hands! Great buck with a lot of character! It'd be awesome if Leo was right about it being another antler! Take care, Ryan
razortec_hunter
anybody else with a guess on age?
HOYTnMUZZYboy
Mid 150's tops. It's hard to tell from the picture. You also half to keep in mind any point reductions he might have. So my guess is mid 150's. Great lookin deer tho, I think he's prolly a 3 1/2 year old. Not quite the mature deer i'm lookin for, but reguardless what he is to me, if he's a trophy to you then by all means put the brown down! Bowtech_archer07
I'd guess a 3.5 yr old deer, but hard to tell from just the one pic and especially at that angle. I'd also guess about 155-160 as far as a score. Good luck with him!! Hope to see you behind him soon!!!
Guest Primetime/IL
Id say hes at least 3.5 and would be doing good to make 150's
MichiganHunter
MAN that is a hard deer to score....shoot that one but I have no idea on how to even come up with a guess for that one.

GWSmith
I'm geussing he's in the 3-1/2yr old range...possibly 4-1/2 with his back just starting to show a little sway to it. Hard to be more specific without a better pic of his chest and head. Score is hard to judge as others have said but I'm going with the low 160's net. My Wife, even though she just started hunting a couple years ago, would pass on him simply because She likes a pure typical rack on a buck. I on the other hand would be slobbering seeing him during shooting hours:D Name: "Bone Junkie" Leo may very well be right...looks like a color difference in the antlers on the left side. One part of them appear to thin down as it nears the base:
Leo
Leo may very well be right...looks like a color difference in the antlers on the left side. razortec_hunter
well the picture was taken in September do you really think they are going to be fighting aggressively enough that early to break an antler off?
