hoosier_country
I'm looking to buy a new muzzleloader and have it narrowed down between a Knight Disc Extreme 50 cal. or TC Omega Z5 50 cal.. Any suggestions to which would be the better choice?
mailmanmark
new muzzleloader take a look at TC's Triumph I saw one at Wally World black stock / blued barrel for $327. Like them better than my encore.
Tominator
I'd recommend Thompson/Center. I had a black diamond, and now have an Encore. Both were/are tack drivers.
wtnhunt
Don't think you could go wrong with either, have heard good things about both. Kind of partial to TC myself though, and eventually when I upgrade from the black diamond I will again go with a TC.

hoosier_country
Thanks for everyone's input, i'm definitely going to go with the Omega. Now i can't decide between a stainless or blued barrel. Didn't know if the light reflection off a stainless barrel would be a problem when deer hunting or not. Its not shiny stainless its more grey stainless ... and its a ton easier to clean then the blued trust me ... I would highly recomend the Stainless Steve
EKYhunter
Check TCs web site to be sure but I believe they are currently offering a $50.00 rebate on certain Omega Z5 packages. That would be a really good deal! Can't go wrong with TC.
hoosier_country
Thanks ekyhunter, you were right. TC does have a $50 rebate on any new omega z5. That's even more of a reason to buy the omega.

billkay
And you don't get stuck with those proprietary caps the Knight makes you use. Most new Knights come with 2 breech plugs. One for using the plastic jackcet, and another for use of a bare primer.
