unioncountyslayer
I know we constantly complain on here about gas prices, but it's gotten even worse here in Charlotte. We have been out of, or have had a very, VERY limited supply all week. There are very few stations that have gas, and when the do get it, the lines are 100 deep (1-2 hour wait) just to fill up. I'm on "E" in my everyday truck, and my work truck and equipment will need to be refueled by Tuesday at the latest. I sure hope we get this "Large" shipment they keep talking about. It's ridiculous. It's mostly due to panic. People keep rushing to fill up, even if they have plenty in the tank. When will the madness end?

We need to tap into all the oil in alaska and not depend on foreign oil at all Less than 40% of the area set aside for drilling in the Gulf of Mexico is actually being utilized. The amount of petroleum that is known to exist in Alaska is classified. When I was in Wyoming for the "Bucks for Buckee" hunt. I sat in a blind all day beside this oil claim marker. There is oil there but we are not drilling it. I had plenty of time to look at this one and contemplate its meaning. These claim markers are numerous. Is there enough to eliminate the need for foreign oil in these untapped claims? I don't know. But it is for certain the dependence is not as great as it needs to be.
