Guest Andrea
Gag me, Bruce Springsteen????????? We've had The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Paul Mccartney....now The Boss?? Don't get me wrong, Bruce was great back in 1984 when he was singing Glory Days and Born in the USA..........but today?? Who cares???? What's up with all the old timers???? And I surely wouldn't wanna see some ghetto rap thug prancing around pulling up his pants while singing either. But Springsteen?? How about Rascal Flatts? Tim McGgraw? KENNY CHESNEY??? OK, I'll shut up. Think I'll be outside or something during half time this year.

toddyboman
Yep every since the "Wardrobe malfunction" half time shows have been a JOKE! Old boring singers. They really need to come up with something different..... I probably won't be watching the lame show yet again this year.....beside its a GREAT time to refill my glass and plate :D
backwoods07
I'm too young to know the Stones in their prime, but I don't mind their music. However, they were TERRIBLE at the halftime show. I don't see how the execs don't see this and try to avoid putting an old, washed up has been on stage again. Makes no sense. How about a little country??
muggs
The Boss stinks. Not a fan. I usually flip to something else during the half time show anyway.
Tominator
OK, I guess I'm the lone dissenter so far. I'm a huge fan of Bruce. Just showing my age I guess. Every Friday at 5 o'clock in Cleveland, WMMS used to play Born to Run. A bunch of high school buddies got me hooked on Springsteen. I guess it's a personal preference, but Springsteen has his own style of blues which I really got into when I was younger. As most talents of that magnitude, they tend to wander into the political arena, which Springsteen did. Unfortunately it was on the Democratic side. But then I saw an interview with him on 60 minutes, and he restored my faith in him and what he stands for. Good move I think. I'm looking forward to it. "I've got a '69 Chevy with a 396......." Guest Andrea
The Born in the USA album was his best I think. And the only album I remember my father ever buying me. I played that 33 rpm til it was worn out. Had the poster and everything. But unless he sings something off that album then I don't see him being that entertaining. And if he DOES, his voice isn't the same and he looks tired.........
Tominator
He could pick literally hundreds of songs. When he made Born in the U.S.A I read where he had over 600 songs to choose from. The man is a song writing machine. Really don't know what he'll play, but I'm guessing it will be upbeat stuff, certainly nothing off the Nebraska album. If I had to guess, I'd say he'll do: Radio Nowhere Born in the U.S.A. Dancing in the Dark Glory Days maybe Rosalita and of course, he'll finish with Born to Run Mark it muggsy. Guest Andrea
Opens with Born in the USA, then some stupid new song no one has heard of, MAYBE and HOPEFULLY Glory Days...and yeah probably end with Born to Run. I like "I'm On Fire" but I doubt he'll play that one...too slow.
RangerClay
Like Chris I am an 1980's grad. but Bruce Stringbean was never one of my favorites. I even lost a girlfriend because I could not stomach the music. Maybe we should give Janet another try? It would be better than Bruce! ruttinbuc
I think they put people on stage who most people can relate to by their age. Lot of old people watching the superbowl, I guess. I personally never cared for Bruce Springsteen. I like some of his stuff. Maybe the fact that his music was pounded and pounded over and over here has something to do with it....
Tominator
I personally never cared for Bruce Springsteen. . I think that's against the law in New Jersey Mike. Kind of like pumping your own gas.
