hutchies Posted October 1, 2008 Report Share Posted October 1, 2008 Well as a follow up to those that know how last year went for me.........quick recap for those that don't know.........Missed about 3........One of the ones I hit aka biggest buck of my life got stolen. Anyway my motto for today was redemption and I was shooting the first thing without spots to get this monkey off my back. Got on stand at 6:50.........wasn't there 20 minutes and was seeing deer. A doe and yearling came in behind me. Had the doe at 5 yards and she wouldn't turn. I held so long I had to let down. Bout that time she turned and walked off. Yearling was at 11 yards broadside and I'm a full draw.............Backstrap fever was playing in my head and I smoked her. 50 yards and it was over. She only weighed 50lbs but the monkey is gone and she is quartered and I'll be having backstrap for dinner. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
