boomer
Went to my first Nascar races over the weekend at Kansas Speedway. I really never cared to much to watch them on tv unless nothing else was on then I might watch. But I really had a blast there watchin in person and being in the 9th row made it nice too. Hope it wont be my last race I go too. Here are some pics of the weekend.
Buckslayer
Awesome pics, the races are much more meaningful in person! Fun events. Glad to hear and see you had a good time.
AdvantageTimberLou
Experiencing it first hand is an awesome experience and something even non-race fans should do once in their life. I don't think people realize just how fast these guys are going. Glad you had fun and glad you will go back for more!
rad_112176
Great pics. I went to Dega this weekend for the first time and it was a blast. Been to a few other races in the past and we are actually talking about going to the Kansas race next year along with Bristol.
slugshooter
You never really appreciate NASCAR until you witness a race firsthand, and then you don't ever want to watch them on TV again. I have been to almost a dozen races in my lifetime, and I would love to go to a dozen more, but I can't get through a half hour of watching on TV before I am falling asleep. Shaun_300
Looks like fun! Not much of a NASCAR fan myself, but I'd go to a live race if I had the opportunity.
iowabucks
It is really neat to go down by the wall and "feel" them go by. You just don't hear and see them, you feel them. I used to go to Michigan every year about 10 years back and we camped right across the road from the track. Thats the way to go. You can come and go as you like all weekend. Watching qualifying from behind the pit wall is fun too. The camping experience was the fun part. All week. There are some fairly quiet campgrounds around, but if you like to party, camping is a blast. On race weekend, i doubt there is a sober person in the campground. No problems, just everybody having fun. I don't do the camping thing there anymore. They made it too expensive and really downsized the camping site size. It's too crowded now.
