Got to play string music last night!

Well I got out for my first hunt this year last night....Got on stand about 5 pm. Nothing was moving til about 715 when I spotted a few does at 40 yards. I drew back as one entered the 35 shooting hole, but she walked through so I let down b/c I thought she would come into the 21 yard hole. Well go figure a few more ladies come out and decide to angle away at about 45 yards. For some reason they spook and all I see it deer frippin everywhere going the wrong way. Not sure what they caught but they didn't like it. So while I'm texting my buddy to tell him the news about 5 minutes later I look up and here come 3 does from the same direction. I draw again at 35 yards and let down again as they seem calm and are coming in. Well the one doe get about three steps from my 21 yard hole and I draw. As this happens I see a good doe step into the 35 yard hole. I hold for about 30 seconds and the first doe doesn't move so I swing to the second doe, b/c I'm not about to draw for a 4th time at this point. Put the 30 yard pin on here and let the music play! The FMJ with a tightpoint and lumenock find there mark right behind the shoulder. She leg kicks like a champ and never knew what hit her. She ran about 50 yards before I lost sight of her. Marked where she went into the woods and got my buddy. The blood trail with sparse and I couldn't figure out why and I couldn't find my arrow. After going about 50 more yards in about 30 minutes we find her piled up!!! I smoked her just like I thought. The reason for no blood was the the entry hole was above half way up and the exit hole b/c she was quartering to was back with stuff hanging out it. She dumped all her blood in the cavity. I didn't find the arrow til this morning. It passed through her and buried in the weeds and that's why I didn't see the nock flashing last night. Either way the shuttle tee-lock tore one heck of a hole in here. I was very pleased. Now it's time to hunt the horns for now and probably tag one more doe in late season...
