outdoorsmen1
I just got done checking my hamann farms winter/fall food plots, and they look GREAT! they are already knee high, and i planted them a few days before september. Im just wondering when you guys had the most luck hunting over turnups and chicory and all that good stuff? Right after the first frost is what I would guess? lemme get some info if i can, thanks! wtnhunt
Have not had much luck with turnips and brassicas mixes here to be honest. The deer here just do not seem to have much interest, but the activity we did see was typically after the first good hard frost. Chickory seems to be attractive to deer from what I have seen as long as it is there.
dogdoc
the deer in my area devour the brassica and I've had excellent plots with Hamann Farm's brassica mix. You are correct-they usually get hit the hardest after a good freeze.
