When you get together in hunting camp with your friends invariably someones getting a nickname.

Whats your nickname and whats the 1 buddies nickname that you remember the most frequently?

My nickname is "The Mouse".

The nickname I remember the best for a buddy is "Reddy KiloWatt".

My nickname stems from being 6', 290lbs....partially because I'm big and partially because when I started hunting I was not exactly quiet busting through brush like a bulldozer:o

Reddy KiloWatt got his nickname because he was usually late getting out the door and his hair is bright red.

A few years ago his Wife and him had a son who also immediately got a nickname..."Bright Spot":D

So whats your nickname and 1 of your buddies nicknames?

Well, mine would be "Cooter". :D Doesn't have anything to do with hunting, but everything to do with the Dukes of Hazzard. I loved the show growing up, and have always loved trucks, especially dump trucks, tow-trucks, etc. So everyone has always called me Cooter. My best friend and hunting partner Jonathan would be "Dang-Bo". Basically because he's always up to something, and my response to him is always, dang, "Bo". I even have him stored into my cell phone under "Dang-Bo". :D My dad and #1 huntin' buddy is better known as "Carl" because of his obsession with the movie Sling Blade. When he, or I get a deer down, we can be heard over the two-way radios grunting and saying things like, "I rekon I'll have some of the bigguns", and "Aight den".

One of my buddy's nickname is already Chief... but at deer camp he's "Chief Wanna Buck"... we have trouble getting him up to go out hunting in the mornings. :D

I see our hunting camp buddies have a similar sarcastic streak:D

I forgot to tell you...if anyone in camp gets gas they earn the nickname "Thor..God of Thunder":D:D:D

We fear however that tradition may be encouraging them to display thier talent more often...we may discontinue that one!

They call me 'Bob the Butcher'...'cause I've shown just about every one of them how to clean it, skin it, and butcher it.

My cousin's husband is Pete...and his son, who is the spitting image of him is Re-Pete...

Oh and Buckee...who was leading in that picture? You or the buck?...or was that during your errrr, ummmm...'hormone' period?

Bob:D

When I was in HS and college, we all had nicknames at the camp. And it wasn't necessarily hunting related. I was "Snapper" (played center in football). Then we had Tracker I (Larry), Tracker II (Little Larry, (Tracker's son), Donkey, Can, Positive Traction, Colonel, Mad Dog, and the list goes on and on. Everyone had a nickname and there are some that I can't remember their real name to this day.

my nickname is "center punch". i got that because the first couple of deer i got i hit em right in the center of the stumach:o because i had buck fever so bad. In my deer camp, well the one that i go to they all got the name "killerB's". The got this because there last name is Burns and all of them got a buck that year. The next year some of them got deer so the ones that didnt were "Wanna B's"

We have a Bob named Bobcat. He shot the only bobcat in the area anyone can remember. We have a "wound'em Willie" who has a rep for wounding:rolleyes:.

Ohhh... and one of this boards finest youth, had gotten a nickname a few years back on one of our drives by my friends...Squirrelhunter91; my son Joe, was given the moniker

"GPS Joe" for getting lost on a drive, and he had all 9 of us looking for him:D

Think he'll find this post?:D:D:D

He has a funny one for a dude he gun hunts with. I won't steal his thunder, but I thought it was pretty funny.

There are a few nicknames with the guys I hunt with.....

Some people call me Space Cowboy, some call me the Gangster of Love.....:D :D

Click went to shoot a great buck a few years back, but forgot to load his gun that morning....Slick is a guy that sticks to the main trails on deer drives (short for City Slicker).......T-Bag is a guy that ordered hot tea at breakfast , which was served in a small cup on a plate, when the other 12 guys in our group are drinking coffee (he only did this once, but the name will never leave him)......Brokeback Bober wore some leather chaps over his jeans hunting one day (again, he only did this once, but that name will never leave him either) :D
