Prizes???

Recommended Posts

I don't think superguide jr. even cashed in his prize certificate from last year-I wish we'd stop all this post count whining and checking in carrying on-some hunt-some talk-some talk and hunt. Maybe everybody just get a life and quit worrying so much about such trivial stuff. Some members can say more in ten posts than others can say in a hundred-verbal diarhea doesn't necessarily make you a more valued forum member.

Just now reading this and I'm a bit surprised by both sides.

First:

I'm still pretty new here and I'm sure glad there wasn't a 2000 post criteria to enter the contest this year. This is my first deer contest and I'm having a blast! Each day I look forward to seeing a smiling team member with his/her harvest. I hope something like this wouldn't cause drastic changes like the 2000 post criteria.

Second:

Crazylegz I've read some of your posts over the past several months and you seem like a reasonable guy. I think your comment about not signing up if you had known there were no prizes was not a well thought out post and now you're stuck on the defense. Sometimes people say things (write) and regret latter. Maybe this applies to you??? If so just let go of that pride and apologize. We all say/do dumb things once in a while.

Now if this doesn't apply to you, then the door has been opened and all you have to do step out.

BTW: Thanks to all who help or have helped with the deer contests.

I may still have an expired gift certificate from last years contest. Anyone want it??
Definitely not going to apologize for my statement but, I did say it sarcastically. My point was I never even thought about using my prize certificate from last year. IMO that is not what it is all about. I do however understand the post count issue as many people just show up for the contest. So, you get to know them a little and the next thing you know they're gone until next season. I've met some great people here and even had a few gettogethers wth them. THAT, is what this contest is all about. ;)

OK, I really do think that an apology is needed on my part. I really dont give a hoot about the prizes, i guess I have been having a bad attitude between the political stuff and just everything going on with me right now and my chronic stomach irritation stuff. I apologize to everyone affiliated with the contest and I really do appreciate what you are doing to keep it going. If anyone cares, I am truly sorry and good luck to all in the contest. Your all a great bunch of people and I need to quit the attitude, I know..... :(
