Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
Do you own one and how does it shoot? I bought one last weekend and put a new scope on yesterday. As soon as I bought it I start reading about all these barrels that the chamber and bores dont line up. Well I will see shortly if I have a good one or not. I bought a 300 Win Mag and a 338 Win mag barrels with it. Both 28 inches and Fluted. I put the scope on the 300 and have mounts coming for the 338. Then I will select a scope for it. Probably another Leupold VXII.

Grady269
I have the original Encore with the .50 Muzzle loader barrel and the 26" heavy barrel 300 win mag. I like it, shoots well, the 300 is my Beanfield gun after Muzzle Loader season closes here in Va. I did replace the pan scews in the forestock with Torex screws and I tourqe them to 25 lbs. It seems to make a difference when they are tightened equally.

Grady269
Not far form your neck of the woods, I am in Powhatan Va, Also hunt in Cumberland, Buckingham and some in Greenbrier WV. This is the time here has been a cool for Va October and early mast crop. Seeing a lot of deer so far during bow season, just not the deer yet. Gotta love VA deer hunt Saturday and Rockfish on Sunday! Congragulations on the new rifle, looks like a keeper.

EKYhunter
Great looking gun and an awesome group. I've got the regular Encore and I'm sitting here trying to decide if I want to order a pro hunter .280 barrel or not. TC currently has a $25.00 rebate on barrels so I'm thinking of ordering one from Natchez Shooters Supply or EABCO. I've got the money saved but I'd like to a really good Nikon Monarch scope for it and I don't have the money for that

Grady269
Congratulations, nothing justifies a new purchase like success in the field. Can't kill that in Virignia.
Orion_70
I have one in a .270. I just got a spring in from BellM the other day to drop the trigger pull down. Now I just need to get the time to install it and hopefully put it all back together without any spare parts

Actually if you head down towards Kentucky there is elk in Virginia. You can use or at least you used to be able to use your deer tags on them.
