bozz Posted January 26, 2005 Report Share Posted January 26, 2005 Well had a great trip to Fla.,....hit all the theme parks...no crowds....it was great 70 degrees and now back to the frozen tundra of Ohio I am.....this was a business/fun trip....so the cost was little.....man I need to take more January trips....sure helps with the cabin fever...I sure miss the south......original from Alabama.....oh well...good to be back with the family....one day maybe I'll head back......love all the water down there too.....just had to share this a little with ya'll !! Yep it's nice down here right now but it won't be long before the rattlesnakes, water moccasins, copperheads and the mosquitoes that fly in formation before they attack come out to play. I almost forgot about the horse flys that can bite through a shirt, the chiggers and no see ums that are all teeth, and the mid summer heat and humidity. At least we don't have black flys. I love the south too, although I don't consider Orlando the South. There's just not any culture here, nothing specific to this area like back home in La. I am up here in the Panhandle of Florida. South Florida is the worst. From what I have seen of the hunting in Ohio...I would love to come up there next year! We have our share of monster bucks down here but they are few and far between. Next time, skip Mickey Mouse land and come to the "World's Best Fishing" of Destin. Now that's a vacation. Walton to Panama City has the best beaches in the world. I just wound up in Mickey land because of the job. I just go back to La. to hunt. Thanks you all.....I'm from Moblie Ala.,.....lived there 24 years....now reside just south of Dayton Ohio....gosh I would call a good old realtree outdoor member while I was there.....yeah I love the water down there too.....really miss that....we have some woods but no water unless you hit lake Erie of which I do like as well. I wish we just had some swamps like you Fla. folks have.....then I'd get a boat and have some fun !! P.s. yeah Destin is beautiful ans so is Panama city......spent a lot of time there.....I would be more than happy to trade my cold weather and big bucks for your warm weather and endless water-ways down there......let's swap !!
