whitetailhunter32210
I am trying to get deer to come within bow range of my tree stand. I am looking for cheap feed that will bring them in. I have narrowed it down to corn or a wild game block. was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
bghunter777
if you are looking for cheap the wild game block because it will last longer. but CORN is definately a better atractant. although only about 7-8 dollars per 50lbs this can still get expensive as the deer will eat an entire bag every day or two. Tominator
Check your local orchards and see if they will let you pick up their apples that fall off the tree. Deer around here love apples. We dump them out and they are usually gone within days.
MichiganHunter
I have 3 spots to bait i have a wild game block at all of them....I will occasionally spice them up with a bucket of corn and some apples mixed in, I have a few older pics on my scouting camera i would put the apples up on tree branches and got a few photos of the deer pulling the apples out....but i get way more photos when the deer have corn out as apposed to just the blocks
BearClaw
I've had a trace mineral block out all Spring and SUmmer and the deer were hammering it pretty good. It seems to have dwindled down a bit and I'm starting to put out corn. I think they are moreinterested in real food right now as the rut and winter will be approaching. They are still coming into the block though.
Flintlock1776
Corn or apples. I have noticed they don't hit the blocks with great enthusiasm.
Tetro
Check your local orchards and see if they will let you pick up their apples that fall off the tree. Deer around here love apples. We dump them out and they are usually gone within days. Its the same around here too. We sometimes go to the orchards and ask wind fall apples for deer. They're not supossed to sell wind falls for regular consumption.
ToddCountyKiller
Acorn Rage!!! I live by takin corn and mixing it with Acorn Rage. They literally "flock" to it. I,ve been putting it out since like the middle of Aug. and it has been constant. The turkeys don't tear it up like they do the corn either. Guest WILD_BILL
Im using corn & mineral blocks. Hopfully the mineral blocks will keep them coming back when thay eat all the corn.
